Saving Orphans Through Healthcare and Outreach (SOHO) exists to improve the life quality and longevity of orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), especially those from child-headed households, in communities devastated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We also seek to empower women in the affected communities to improve their own lives so that they can help to create a more stable environment for the children.
We accomplish this through programs addressing food and nutrition, health and safety, education, emotional support, life skills, vocational training and spiritual nurture. We collaborate with a diverse group of organizations, schools, businesses and churches to work toward sustainable solutions that foster self reliance.
