BENEVOLENCE IN Malawi & Tanzania, Africa

Feeding Ministry in Lilongwe Malawi Currently Feeding Up to 350 Orphans and Street Children M-F

Pastor Edie Chisali and his volunteers feed hundreds of children Monday through Friday. They receive food as well as love, care, and the gospel message. Pastor Edie is a businessman, gifted in development and resource management. He and his wife have eight children and run a business in addition to operating the feeding ministry.

Seeds of Hope now owns 3 1/2 acres of land in Lilongwe and has funded the building of two storefronts on the front of the land which will serve to sustain the cost of the feeding ministry and future orphanage.  In addition, a Korean well-drilling ministry learned about the project and donated a well to the land. They successfully hit water in May 2025.

The future vision for this land is to farm it and build an orphanage to house and care for orphans and widows in the area.  A permit to house 100 orphans is close to being approved by the Malawian Government.  Funding is needed to complete this vision.  We are praying for the opportunity and funds to come into purchase an additional adjacent acre.  It is the belief of the board that the more land the better for the health of the economy and ecosystem of the orphanage operation.  Please pray the Lord continues to provide at just the right time.  Our God is Jehovah  Jireh.

Feeding Ministry in Blantyre, Malawi is able to feed up to 120 orphans and street children.

Pastor Cloud has a huge burden for the children of Blantyre, Malawi.  His heart is in caring for the local impoverished children through his ministry, Light of the World Children's Ministry.  He teaches them about Jesus and encourages, equips, and leads the community towards Christ, and he regularly cares for the orphans and abandoned women in the community.

Seeds of Hope has purchased 10 acres of land in Blantyre as the future site of our next orphanage.  Pastor Cloud and his family are farmers, and they currently plant the land with maize and onions.  This food is then used to feed the orphans and widows and those who are starving during the months when food is scarce. Its rationing has insured that many who may have otherwise died of starvation are able to live.   The land is already a blessing to those in the area, and God willing will continue to be even more so.

Cloud and the orphans in the town have committed to going to the land that we have purchased and praying daily for an orphanage to be built there. Pray alongside us that this dream will become a reality.

KEBO Social Protection Organization in Dodoma, Tanzania

Pastor Joseph Kelvin founded and operates KEBO Social Protection Organization. He cares for the least of these, including disabled, diseased, abandoned, and drug-addicted children and adults. Many he serves cannot walk or have the AIDS virus. He brings food, toiletries, orthotics, shoes, women's supplies, and educational materials to those who would otherwise go without.

Joseph is an intelligent and educated man with a heart to serve the needy and forgotten. With his education, he could easily pursue a high-paying career but has instead chosen to serve the Lord in full-time ministry. He has taken in an orphan girl named Rebeca with HIV, and we are praying for complete healing for her.

As a former Muslim, he works tirelessly to share the hope of the gospel and has recently been invited to preach in multiple schools. There is an immediate need for support in this ministry to continue providing for the needy and for walls and a roof for his local church plant.

Church Plant in Mwanza, Tanzania

Pastor Isaac Silvanus and his family planted and pastor a church in a village in Mwanza. He is gifted in teaching the word of God and accurately training up disciples. He evangelizes and supports the community, with a special focus on caring for the children of the area through sports and music.

Because of what the Lord is doing through Seeds of Hope, he was able to put a roof on their church building and complete much-needed excavation of large rocks on the site. He was recently also able to purchase microphones and a speaker to draw in the community.

His heart is to start and run a feeding ministry, but he lacks the finances. Immediate needs include funding for the completion of the church walls and support for the establishment of the feeding ministry.
